Noel has lectured in business management at a tertiary level for over 23 years, mainly in the City of Moreton Bay. Prior to this, he spent over 18 years in the retail and hospitality sectors (supermarkets, fuel, pizza delivery, retail liquor etc.). He began his career as a trainee manager with Coles Supermarkets and left the industry as a regional manager with Australia’s largest video game company, Timezone.
Noel's qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in management and HRM, a master’s degree in information technology, and a PhD in corporate reputation and financial performance.
More recently, Noel has undertaken research into the resilience of small businesses during the Covid pandemic, in the Moreton Region, and is currently investigating regional reputation with a view to attracting new businesses to the City of Moreton Bay.
Since 2019 Noel has been a volunteer board member of a local non-profit, Encircle Community Services, which provides community services to those less fortunate than many in relation to homelessness, domestic violence, among others.

Dr Noel Tracey’s specialist areas of knowledge include corporate reputation and its influence on corporate financial performance, technology implementation, process management and design, work-integrated learning, sustainability in business, organisational change and multi-site retail operations.
