UniSC Art Gallery is where art, ideas and community come together.

Located at UniSC Sunshine Coast, we present exhibitions by leading local, national and international artists. Our program is driven by research and enquiry, reflecting UniSC's commitment to teaching, learning and meaningful community engagement.

An active publishing program supports our exhibitions and we also offer a range of programs, including lectures, symposia, workshops and performances, giving our communities opportunities to engage with contemporary art and ideas.

We are responsible for the UniSC Art Collection. With more than 1,000 works displayed across UniSC's multi-campus network, the collection is a culturally significant asset for our regions.

We're proud to be a member of University Art Museums Australia.

Our people

The Art Gallery sits within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global and Engagement). An Advisory Committee guides the implementation of the university's Art Collection Operational Policy. Our professional staff lead day-to-day operations, supported by student interns and volunteers.

Vice-Chancellor's Art Advisory Committee

The Art Advisory Committee provides expert and diverse advice on implementing the Art Collection—Operational Policy. The Committee also advises on how art is incorporated into our public spaces.

Volunteer and internship program

Our community volunteers play a vital role at the Art Gallery, supporting visitor services, public programs and events.

University students can apply for internships across a range of areas, including curatorial practice, research, collections management, public programming, marketing and records management. Internships run over a semester or as an intensive block, giving participants the chance to build practical, transferable skills.
