This course is required for students in the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology program to prepare for exercise physiology practice. You will study chronic conditions and illnesses for which exercise is medicine. You will learn skills in clinical assessment, case management, exercise prescription and delivery for chronic and complex conditions. You will read and apply research on chronic disease management to your clinical decision making, further developing skills in evidence-based practice. Session 1 is only for students graduating BCEP in 2027, or if they have completed all 300-level courses if part time. Session 4 is for all other students (usually 3rd year BCEP students) Session 1 will run for 2 weeks, full time intensive (everyday). Session 4 will run for 6 weeks, part time intensive (2-3 days per week).
