Scholarship applications for Study Period 2 are now open and will close on 31 May 2026.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by August 31, 2026.
The Women in Mechanical Engineering Bursary supports female undergraduate mechanical engineering students at UniSC Moreton Bay.
One new equity bursary will be offered each year and recipients will receive the bursary funds as a lump sum payment of $2,500 after census date in Study Period 2.
Please Note: This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the scholarship will not be awarded.
- Eligibility
- female student enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) at UniSC Moreton Bay campus
- full-time continuing undergraduate student having successfully completed a minimum of 48 units (4 courses)
- minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.0
- Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or permanent resident of Australia
- Selection criteria
- financial need
- hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available for the student to study (e.g. compulsory fieldwork placement, significant carer responsibilities)
