Female students enrolled full-time or part-time in the second, third or fourth year (including Honours) of their first undergraduate degree
Graduate Women Queensland Inc. Sunshine Coast Branch has provided significant and long-standing support for UniSC students via a range of bursaries. The organisation's aim is to promote the advancement of women through education, and they offer numerous bursaries annually here at UniSC. These bursaries are available to three (3) undergraduate students with a high grade point average (GPA). Applicants will be asked to submit references.
Previous recipients of GWQ-SC Awards are not eligible to apply. However, previous applicants who were unsuccessful may re-apply.
Please Note: This bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
- Eligibility
- Female student enrolled at UniSC Sunshine Coast campus in any undergraduate degree program;
- Full-time or part-time students (minimum of 24 units) in their first undergraduate degree or Honours year;
- Successful completion of a minimum of 96 units at UniSC;
- Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.5;
- Previous recipients of a GWQ Undergraduate bursary and students who will be in receipt of another scholarship or bursary during the relevant study period are not eligible to apply. Previous applicants of the GWQ Undergraduate bursary who were not successful may apply;
- Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or permanent resident of Australia.

- financial need
- hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available for the student to study (e.g. compulsory fieldwork placement,
significant carer responsibilities); - A statement outlining:
- leadership skills as demonstrated through academic or extra-curricular activities;
- contribution to the community, University, family or environment;
- career goals including a feasible plan to achieve these goals.
