The Commonwealth Prac Payment and Paramedicine Prac Payment Bursary support eligible students to cover some of the costs associated with mandatory placements for nursing, midwifery, social work and teaching degrees.
From July 2025, eligible students will be able to access up to $338.60 per week while they're undertaking placement. The payment will be means-tested to ensure the support goes to students who need it the most.
