If you are considering undertaking an HDR, we have a range of scholarships available. They can help cover living expenses and tuition fees.

Want to research your own idea?

You can apply for an HDR program anytime with your own proposal and you can also apply for a scholarship to support your research.

Research Training Program scholarship

The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship provides financial support for high-quality research students. We hold multiple RTP scholarship rounds each year. Applications are only open and accepted during the specified periods. 

Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Higher Degree by Research scholarship

Open to Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Students undertaking a PhD or Master by Research. 

Looking for a project?

Jump straight into a ready-made research project. Some even come with scholarships attached. The process includes an application, interview, and offer from the project supervisor. If you’re successful, you’ll then apply for the HDR program linked to the project.
