More than a scholarship
The High Achieving Student Program recognises strong academic achievement and gives you more ways to build your confidence, networks and experience during your first year at UniSC.
Benefits include:
- A $5,000 scholarship, paid in two $2,500 instalments
- An exclusive welcome and networking event for you and a guest hosted by the Vice-Chancellor
- A ticket to UniSC’s high achievers leadership development day
- Priority access to UniSC’s Building Better thought leadership series
- Opportunities to meet researchers, alumni and industry leaders
- An invitation to apply for the UniSC Student Ambassador Program
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the 2027 High Achieving Student Program, you must:
- Complete Year 12 in Queensland in 2026
- Achieve an unadjusted ATAR of 90.00 or above
- Have a UniSC bachelor program as your first QTAC preference at 12noon on Monday 21 December 2026
- Be enrolled in an eligible program at Census 1 in Trimester 1, 2027.
For the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Accelerated), Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Midwifery and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), you must also live in a UniSC campus region or in a regional or rural Queensland location classified as Modified Monash Model category MM2 or above.
UniSC campus regions include the Fraser Coast, Gympie, Noosa, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay local government areas, plus North Brisbane postcodes 4017, 4018, 4034, 4035, 4036 and 4053. This helps protect access to a limited number of places for local and regional applicants.
If you live outside these locations, intend to study one of the above degrees and are expecting an ATAR of 90 or above, you can still apply and may be eligible for other UniSC scholarships, including the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship.
How it works
-
Make UniSC your first preference: make your UniSC bachelor program your first preference with QTAC by 12pm on Monday 21 December 2026.
-
Accept your offer and enrol for Trimester 1, 2027.
-
We assess you automatically: there is no separate application. UniSC will confirm eligibility after Census 1.
