Clinical training in Reconsolidation Therapy™, a contemporary treatment for trauma.
Thompson Institute Director Professor Alain Brunet will share his innovative method for treating patients/clients with trauma- and stressor-related disorders, including PTSD.
About Reconsolidation Therapy
Reconsolidation Therapy™ involves recalling traumatic memories with the support of a certified therapist while under the influence of a memory reconsolidation-blocking medication, such as oral propranolol. It is a simple, fast, and effective trauma treatment based on the latest discoveries in neuroscience and memory reconsolidation.
It is not necessary to hold prescription privileges to learn and practise Reconsolidation Therapy.
Evidence-based Reconsolidation Therapy has been shown to:
- Reduce the emotional burden of trauma in 70% of cases within six weeks
- Achieve therapeutic outcomes without daily psychotropic medication
- Produce little to no side effects
