Headstart is for you if you:
- Want to advance your school studies
- Are achieving at least a B grade average, or equivalent*
- Have a passion or skill in a particular area of study
- Can manage your own studies and commitments
- Have approval and a positive recommendation from your school.

Year 10 (Trimester 2 only), 11 and 12 high school students should follow the outlined steps to apply online for Headstart.
Home-schooled students can contact Student Central for information on how to apply.

*Special circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Your school must attach a written statement outlining a case for consideration.

Your school's support for your application is essential. Talk with your school’s Headstart Coordinator about your plans to apply and the course you would like to study.
Step 3: Apply online
You or your School Headstart Coordinator can start your application through the online portal. Your school will let you know which option to use.
